A new Discovery Tour Medieval Baghdad app!

Hello Reader,

This week Ubisoft announced a new, free Discovery Tour Medieval Baghdad app! It incorporates our consultancy and collaborative research work from Assassin's Creed Mirage and its educational Codex feature. You can learn more and download the free app on the Ubisoft website here.

I couldn't be happier that the results of our consultancy and collaboration with Ubisoft are now even more accessible to wide publics. My hope is that this app will inspire more people of all ages to learn about global Islamic art, architecture and history than ever before.

I'll be testing it out in my new Edinburgh Futures Institute postgrad course this Fall -'Video Games and XR for Inclusive Cultural Heritages'. If you give Discovery Tour Medieval Baghdad a try, at home or in the classroom, do let me know. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

All my best,

Glaire

p.s. yesterday we had a great start to Academy, with Sarah leading a new cohort in our single session 'Representing Historical Islamicate Societies'. We'll offer it one more time this Fall, in November. Next month we're running the Age of the Caliphs unit again - if you or someone you could use a quick and enjoyable intro or refresher, do join us!
