Art History Redefined for Lifelong Learners

Hello Reader!

We're happy to share the news that we're bringing Islamic art courses to a new group of students in 2026 - retirees/lifelong learners!

Class 1 focuses on addressing some misperceptions that people have regarding Islamic art. Learn more below

Class 2 is a traditional history of Islamic art class that starts with the early period and goes through the late Ottoman Empire. Learn more below

Register by 15 December to receive a discounted Early Bird rate. Registration fees support DLIVCC scholarships that allow us to make a greater impact for more students.

Both classes will be taught by our Education Lead, Dr. Sarah Slingluff, inspired by her experience teaching a very popular course for the Adult Learning Program at the Renaissance Institute for Notre Dame of Maryland last year.

Thanks so much for helping us spread the word as we do what we can to make the world better - through inclusive, global public education and Islamic art history!

All our best,

Glaire, Sarah, and the Digital Lab team
