About Me

I’m Founding Director & Principal Consultant, Digital Lab for Islamic Visual Culture & Collections (DLIVCC).

I'm an award-winning author, researcher, and international speaker, and have been featured on BBC Scotland, Times Higher Education, Apollo Magazine, and The Barakat Trust's Ask the Expert podcast, among others. I was also an external consulting historian and art historian for Assassin's Creed Mirage (Ubisoft, 2023) and its 'History of Baghdad' Codex feature.
